Daniel Smuda received his MBA from
TU Berlin and studied business at the University of Illinois. The focus
of his research during his time as an assistant at FU Berlin was in the
field of the organization of fast-growing companies.
During his work as a business consultant at McKinsey the
focus of his tasks included cost reduction and restructuring projects
as well as the strategic restructuring of companies. Mr. Smuda brought
this expertise to different foundations such as Venturepark Incubator
AG or Sportgate AG. At Sportgate AG he worked closely with Prof. Dr. Helmut
Thoma on the board of directors. He was also co-founder of the succesful
biotech venture Biotix, winning acclaim from several business plan competitions.
